Our client is looking for an Enterprise Architect. The mission is to serve as an Enterprise Architect within the IT Architecture team. The primary objective is to conduct the cyclical process of evaluating the application portfolio and recommending strategies for various applications across the group and its subsidiaries.
The group is seeking an Architect service for their IT Architecture team, specifically within the Enterprise Architecture function. The ideal consultant should have expertise in Application Portfolio Management and IT roadmap processes. Experience in the Energy and Utilities sector is a plus, as is familiarity with transformation phases during mergers.
Service Description
In the context of the Group IT formation, the Enterprise Architect service will:
- Analyze corporate strategy and translate it into portfolio management strategies, business-driven IT roadmaps, and business capability maps.
- Define the architecture and functional design needs to support and meet company business goals.
- Communicate the application strategy process to business and IT actors of the group.
- Gather and analyze business requirements using business and IT surveys to evaluate the IT landscape.
- Conduct trade-off analysis using industry-known methods (e.g., ATAM) to formulate constructive recommendations.
- Help maintain the application portfolio in close cooperation with application owners and other stakeholders.
- Collect application-related information (e.g., cost-related information) as additional input for the analysis using industry-standard methods (e.g., CBAM).
- Maintain an application map of the current landscape, covering various layers such as applications, technology, data, and integration, to enrich the Enterprise Architecture repository.
- Maintain the architecture decisions repository.
- Validate the recommendations with the senior management of business and IT.
- Contribute to building an enterprise-wide IT roadmap covering current and planned initiatives, projects, and programs, reflecting impacts and dependencies.
- Integrate architecture-related processes with other IT management processes like Project Portfolio and IT Service Management.
Requirements
- Experience in an Enterprise Architecture function (min. 10 years).
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative in engaging with people at all levels.
- Result-oriented.
- Experience in IT processes and methodologies, using standards such as ITIL, TOGAF, ArchiMate, Domain Driven Design.
- Experience with cloud-native architecture patterns.
- Ability to advocate reference architectures.
- Familiarity with Microservices & Event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with Gartner Architecture Frameworks (e.g., TIME for APM).
- Experience with modeling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect (or similar tools).
- Team player with a strong collaboration focus and excellent presentation skills.
- Experience with merger situations and subsequent transformations is a plus.
- Notable real-world experience in architecting, designing, and delivering IT products in an agile environment is a plus.
- Fluent in English. Supplier and procurement documentation and meetings with external parties will be in English. The consultant will collaborate with French, Dutch, and German-speaking team members. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is mandatory. Knowledge of German is a plus.
