Our client is looking for an “Experienced IT Project Management Service” to coordinate and follow various projects of application modernization.
Context:
In 2025, we need to refactor and modernize our portfolio of applications. On one side, we need to remove the technical debt of our current applications (from multiple subsidiaries) by upgrading them technically. On the other side, we need to start decomposing some big monolithic applications into capabilities and then refactor them following a modern cloud-based and data-centric architecture. In order to deliver the results of this initiative, we are looking for a project manager to lead/coordinate the project.
Service Description:
- Facilitating architecture decomposition initiatives between different teams (business, architecture, etc.).
- Coordinating IT projects, including launching and monitoring projects, achieving implementation plans, following-up scope, budget, schedule, monitoring resources, issues, risks and producing project-related documentation.
- Following & coordinating functional and technical architecture decomposition based on home-made developments.
- Following, coordinating and monitoring modernized initiatives.
- Managing & following multiple implementation teams provided by development software teams (.NET/JAVA developers & architects).
- Collaborating with Q&A chapters to validate the test strategy and quality approach, as well as their follow-up during the execution phase.
- Organizing and coordinating the deployment of IT solutions in acceptance and production environments in collaboration with the IT infrastructure teams.
Requirements:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in applied information technology, a master’s degree or equivalent by experience, preferably with a specialization in the field of electricity.
- You have more than 10 years of relevant experience as a manager of IT projects.
- You have relevant experience in modern decomposition cloud-based, data-centric IT architecture approach, including using DDD and microservices.
- You have relevant experience in an international company context.
- You can communicate easily with developers/architects on technical matters.
- You have a good knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- You have an analytical mind and good organizational skills.
- You are customer-driven and a good communicator, facilitator, and you work well in a team.
- You keep abreast of the latest IT developments.
- Knowledge of and experience in the electricity and/or energy sector would be a plus.
- You can integrate market products into the client’s existing application architecture (via web services, a communication bus, a common data model, and so on).
Languages:
- You are fluent in English and either French or Dutch, with a sound grasp of the other language.
- German knowledge is a plus.
