Our Client is looking for an Application Manager.
Specific Role Expectations
This Application Manager (Network Observability Software) role is part of the energy transition program initiated by our client, a key player in the energy sector. The program aims to prepare our client to meet the environmental and technological challenges of the energy transition.
A Smart Grid sub-program is dedicated to implementing solutions and functionalities within our client's technical operations, particularly for network planning and operation. These initiatives aim to improve the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of electrical networks, notably through the integration of renewable energies, intelligent demand management, and energy flow optimization.
Projects, supported by modern technologies (AI, Machine Learning, etc.), can vary in themes (technical, business) and methodologies (agile, waterfall, R&D POC). Each initiative directly contributes to the modernization of infrastructures while meeting the ambitions of the Energy Transition. The Application Manager (Observability) will play a crucial role in monitoring, reliability, and evolution of IT supervision and monitoring systems to ensure the successful execution of Smart Grid projects and the achievement of our client's strategic objectives.
Governance and Application Coordination
- Responsible for the management, maintenance, and evolution of IT solutions for observing and supervising the network (gas/electricity) as part of the energy transition program.
Strategic Alignment
- Ensure these solutions align with our client's priorities (Smart Grid, digitalization, renewable integration) in connection with the Smart Grid sub-program.
Technical Reference
- Serve as the primary contact for observability applications: lead the dedicated team, address functional and technical questions, and manage interactions with other teams (infrastructure, business, data, etc.).
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with IT, business, and technical teams, as well as the Smart Grid program manager, to ensure the coherence and performance of observability solutions.
Main Tasks and Activities
Solution Coherence and Integration
- Ensure the smooth production and service continuity of observability applications. Ensure their seamless integration into our client's IT ecosystem.
Maintenance and Evolutions

Support and Incident Management
- Centralize, analyze, and resolve incidents related to network supervision and monitoring. Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability.
Documentation and Training
- Create, update, and distribute technical and functional documentation related to applications. Organize training sessions for users (technical and business teams).
Technological Watch
- Stay informed about new developments and best practices in observability (monitoring, alerting, logs, performance) and propose continuous improvements.
Reporting
- Provide regular reports to the Application Pole Manager on performance indicators (KPI, SLA, incidents), project progress, and the evolution roadmap.
Team Coordination
- Manage and mobilize necessary resources (internal and/or external), plan activities, and ensure commitments (deadlines, budget, quality) are met.
Dependency Management
- Ensure proper integration between your application projects and other information systems (ERP, GIS, MDM, etc.), avoiding conflicts and facilitating synergies.
Resource Management
Dedicated Team
- Lead experts and analysts (internal and/or contractors) to ensure the design, maintenance, and evolution of observability applications.
