Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with market experience to join our Transformation team, which focuses on driving key transformation initiatives. The primary responsibility of this role will be to contribute to projects aimed at transforming our legacy CMS system into modernized applications, incorporating both technical and functional enhancements.
The Business Analyst will initially focus on two critical domains: Settle and Measure, ensuring that all related processes and functionalities are seamlessly integrated into the new application. For settlement, a project has already been started, but support is needed for our export, in order to analyze Functional Design, change documentation, help set up testing, and test.
This role requires a strong understanding of business processes, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Expected Key Activities & Skills
- Business & Functional Analyses: Analyze current processes in the Settle and Measure domains, gather requirements, and translate business needs into clear functional specifications.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including business processes, functional designs, and system requirements, while tracking project progress and decisions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and project managers to align on deliverables and ensure seamless integration with adjacent systems.
- Workshops & Optimization: Facilitate workshops to gather input, validate solutions, and identify opportunities for process optimization and functional improvements.
Company Context
Atrias plays a central role in facilitating the energy market in Belgium, ensuring seamless interactions between Distribution Grid Operators (DGOs) and market parties. In addition to this, Atrias manages and provides services for critical applications, including the Central Market System (CMS), DEX, and PPP.
Within Atrias, the Transformation Department is tasked with driving strategic change and overseeing transformation projects. This department comprises three key silos:
- Business Coordination: Focused on content and business requirements.
- Project Management and Portfolio: Responsible for portfolio oversight and project delivery.
- Governance Office: Ensuring effective governance and alignment across initiatives.
Modernization of the CMS
The current CMS application is a core component of the energy market, serving as the primary system that facilitates market processes and enables communication between DGOs and market parties. However, the CMS requires modernization to align with evolving market needs and technological advancements.
The Transformation Department will lead the modernization effort, acting as the driving force behind the development and implementation of new applications. This work will be carried out using Agile methodologies, with a strong focus on incorporating functional changes driven by input from DGOs.
