Our client is looking for a Functional Analyst.
The Digital department is actively looking for a Functional Analyst (full time) to join the Field Applications & Integrity Management team in the Asset Management domain. This domain includes activities related to gas assets such as GRID Maintenance, Metering, and Cathodic Protection. The team uses various systems, including .NET developments, SAP PM, and geospatial asset management applications.
Team Responsibilities
- Project Services: Adapting software products to meet corporate project requirements.
- Product Enhancement: Implementing new functionalities based on business user requests.
- Product Support: Ensuring software product continuity and user support.
- Product Maintenance: Resolving production issues and adapting software to changing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to end-users on production systems
- Understand and challenge internal customer needs to define real requirements
- Analyze functional/business problems and choose appropriate solutions
- Translate business requirements into clear and concise user stories
- Create business process and functional system documentation using UML artifacts
- Define domain interface specifications (domain-driven design)
- Develop action plans to deliver user stories by breaking them down into tasks
- Produce and follow up on test scenarios for system, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Review analysis deliverables from peers
- Act as the single point of contact for functional questions during development
- Execute follow-up on implementation
- Facilitate estimation and planning sessions
- Assist in drafting user manuals, release notes, and possibly training end users
- Provide recommendations to improve business processes based on past experiences
Mission Focus
- Implementing digital projects related to the inspection and maintenance of transport network infrastructures, quality control of metering equipment, and development of tools to support dispatching
- Supporting and maintaining existing and future tools for the mentioned domains
Place of Mission
Located in Anderlecht, with occasional travel to the head office in Brussels and other sites within Belgium. Remote work is possible 2 days/week.
Timing
The mission starts as soon as possible after evaluation and procurement negotiation, typically 15 working days post-agreement.
General Skills
- Fluent in Dutch, French, and good knowledge of English
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Teamwork, critical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, adaptability
- Ability to work according to rules, standards, and guidelines defined by the Enterprise Architecture/Security Office
- Background knowledge of the energy sector and asset management domain is an asset
Technical Skills
- Ability to understand and formalize customer needs
- Good knowledge of UML Business Process Modelling (BPMN) techniques
- Experience with UI design and providing end-user support
- Proficiency in UML modeling tools (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect), agile software development tools (e.g., MS Visual Studio TS), and documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Confluence)
- Good knowledge of relational databases and ability to write SQL queries on Oracle and MS SQL Server
- Knowledge of SAP PM (S/4HANA) is an asset
