Our client is looking for a Business Analyst (GIS knowledge).
Business Analysis:

Identify business needs, operations, and issues through various analyses (e.g., regulatory requirements, European guidelines, improvement projects, problem analyses).

Clearly explain analysis results and proposed approaches to stakeholders.
Functional Analysis and Design:

Develop, implement, and follow up on functional analyses and designs based on business analyses.

Translate desired solutions into functional ICT designs, aligning with standards, architectural choices, and existing application specifications.
Testing and Quality Control:

Conduct functional tests and quality checks.
-
Ensure structured and coherent implementation of solutions.
Coordination:
-
Act as an autonomous interface between various stakeholders.
-
Lead and coordinate the functional development team and development process.
Outcomes:

Contribute to a structured process methodology and a uniform documentation and archiving approach.

Professionalize business analysis within the organization, laying a solid foundation for sustainable improvements in process and solution quality.
Requirements

Proven experience in general business operations with ICT applications.

Proven experience in developing and optimizing business processes (BPM).

Proven experience in stakeholder management.

Proven knowledge and experience in various project management aspects (costs, timing, coordination, planning, estimates).

Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR level C2.

Work within the Data Publication and Metadata services of the Subteam Data Management (Team Data Governance < Data Platform < Digital Flanders).

Aim to make public data and metadata accessible via existing publication channels (e.g., Metadata Flanders, Geographic web services, Geopunt, Data Finder).

Support governments and other parties in publishing public data for use and consultation.

Improve publication processes and lower technical barriers.

Ensure accessibility and quality control of datasets.

Manage Metadata Flanders with principles of standardization, single description, and central metadata access.
