Our client is looking for a senior DevOps Engineer.
The ICT Office manages real-time railway traffic control and monitoring applications. All employees of signaling posts and traffic control are the end users of our client's applications. These applications are critical for the company and are supported by a 24/7 emergency service. You will support the development teams with your DevOps expertise and experience and support all DevOps initiatives in the field of real-time applications for railway traffic control and monitoring in Belgium. You will work with system and infrastructure colleagues on system tasks related to servers, connectivity, virtualization, performance, availability, and security improvements. You will closely collaborate with various stakeholders (Product Owners, Developers, Testers, interdepartmental SPOCs, other teams, etc.) to realize DevOps projects within the ICT office.
Your mission tasks include:
- Supporting other DevOps software engineers
- Coaching junior DevOps software engineers
- Monitoring various DevOps initiatives
- Collaborating with Agile development teams
- Automating the CI/CD development pipeline
- Automating installation procedures
- Automating DRP procedures
- Preparing and presenting sprint demonstrations
- Keeping technical and operational documentation up to date
- Sharing your knowledge with team members and colleagues
- Analyzing and correcting bugs
During the mission, you always follow procedures and guidelines. After thorough training, you will participate in the 24/7 on-call service and planned interventions during weekends.
Technical Skills:

- (M) Higher education in IT (at least a Bachelor's degree, ideally a Master's)
- (M) Very good knowledge of the English language (speaking, understanding)
- (M) At least 5 years of relevant experience as a DevOps engineer
- (M) At least 3 years of relevant experience and very good knowledge of Agile/SCRUM in a software development context
- (M) Very good knowledge of Ansible with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- (M) Very good knowledge of AWX with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- (M) Very good knowledge of GIT with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- (M) Very good knowledge of CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins, Gitlab with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- (M) Very good knowledge of virtualization and container services such as Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- (M) Very good knowledge of scripting such as Bash, Python with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- (M) Very good knowledge of Linux services with at least 5 years of relevant experience
