Our client is looking for a Functional Analyst.
As a Solution Analyst in the Data Acquisition team, you will take on the following responsibilities:
- MDM System Support: You will mainly work in the team that supports the MDM (EnergyIP) system.
- Business Requirements Analysis: Responsible for analyzing business requirements, leading discussions, and organizing workshops to identify possible solutions and reach a consensus if necessary.
- Solution Determination: Determine possible solutions in line with the IT architecture, considering the E2E application and technology chain, and validate those solutions with the business.
- Deliverables Validation: Analyze, check, and validate the deliverables of our partners.
- Follow-up on Deliverables: Follow up on the deliverables from requirements gathering to commissioning.
- Functional Support: Answer functional questions during the development phase.
- Testing Coordination: Assist in the documentation and execution of tests; coordinate and assist in the execution of User Acceptance tests with the business.
- Bug Management: Responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and documenting identified bugs, ensuring follow-up of the solution in the context of tests under your competence, as well as Business Acceptance tests.
- Solution Coherence: Ensure coherence between business requirements and the final solution.
- Supplier Solutions Challenge: Challenge the solutions proposed by suppliers.
- Functional Knowledge Acquisition: Acquire functional knowledge of the applications to act as a functional point of reference within Sibelga.
- System Documentation: Contribute to the creation and evolution of system documentation for the applications you are responsible for and update business documentation (processes, user guides).
- Change Management: Strong awareness of change management and the ability to collaborate effectively with business teams, facilitating discussions to ensure acceptance of new solutions.
- Incident/Problem Resolution: Help solve incidents/problems as a second line of support.

The Digital Business Solutions (DBS) department supports all Sibelga's business activities. Through innovative projects, it ensures that our client has an autonomous IT system in line with changing needs and technologies. Within the DBS department, the Solution Analyst will be part of the Data Acquisition (DAQ) team within the Market & Metering Unit. The DAQ team makes changes to existing applications or develops new solutions that meet the needs of their internal customers, to support their business processes, optimize their working methods, or improve the user experience. The DAQ team consists of a dozen professionals who work on configuration, parameterization, and development of applications to support meter data reading. The team consists of project managers and functional analysts.
Market & Metering Unit Growth
Our “Market & Metering” unit is growing rapidly due to:
- Creation of a federal platform for the management of exchanges with the market
- Introduction of new types of smart meters
- Integration of local production installations (e.g., photovoltaic panels)
- Introduction of electric cars/charging stations into the market model
- Implementation of a new platform used by meter readers to record analog meter readings in Brussels, both for gas and electricity

To meet these new challenges, we are looking for a Solution Analyst in the domain of data acquisition who can strengthen our team in the context of ongoing projects that focus on current tools and support them into production.
