Our client, active in the energy sector, is looking for a GIS developer for its headquarters in Brussels.
Responsibilities
As a .Net/GIS Developer, you will be responsible for:
- Providing technical assistance on GIS solutions (Hexagon Networks and services, Oracle db, API, …)
- Assisting in the resolution of incidents and production problems
- Defining the technical design in collaboration with the key technical lead and analysts
- Estimating the workload for the implementation of the technical solution
- Configuring and developing stories and bug fixes
- Tracking and updating stories and bugs in Jira
- Performing system and integration tests before delivery in TST
- Preparing deployment deliverables
- Performing sanity checks after deployment in production
You will work in the DBS department in Unit 1 Works, GIS & Customer, specifically in the “GIS & Asset Management” teams.
The “GIS & Asset Management” team aims to support the processes and applications for managing network plans, as well as asset management for the Gas, Electricity, Telco, and Public Lighting networks of Sibelga.
Technical Skills:
- At least 6 years of experience in .Net development
- Good knowledge of Oracle db
- Knowledge of Hexagon Networks products
- Knowledge of branching: TFS, GIT & Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of deployment: Jenkins & Azure DevOps
- Agile methodology (Jira)
- Knowledge of languages: .Net C#Sharp, Javascript, (React), Docker, …
- Development pattern: Solid
- Knowledge of the Utilities sector
Personal Skills:
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in science or IT
- You are fluent in French or Dutch and have a good basic knowledge of the other language. You have a good command of professional technical English
