For Willem, working with Brainbridge was never just a way to get a job or to land the next assignment. As he puts it, it is about having “a partner with the same goal” and keeping work human, even in technical environments.
About Willem
Willem started in applied technology: networks, systems and telecom. Over time, he grew into more leadership-focused roles, and that is where his perspective shifted. “In those technical and management roles, I started noticing the human side more and more”, he explains. “The people behind the work, the teams, the dynamics. That’s where my interest in transformation came from.” Today, Willem describes his biggest strength in simple terms: “I bring people, technology and leadership together.” He adds, “That comes with more than 40 years of evolution and hands-on experience.”
How the collaboration started
Every collaboration starts with a first conversation.
Willem first came into contact with Brainbridge after the Covid period. “It was a difficult time to find work”, he says. “And fully remote work was never my thing. Working from home a few days a week is fine. I’d even recommend it”, Willem says. “But I missed the human contact. Technology can help, but it can never fully replace that.” Brainbridge understood that immediately, and that is how the collaboration started.

What does the collaboration feel like once the project starts?
Looking back on the different assignments, Willem keeps coming back to one thing: “mutual understanding, with the client at the centre.” A feeling Willem describes as “aiming for the same goal”, he explains. It creates alignment. “With some partners, you feel like a necessary evil. Just a profile that needs to be placed. With Brainbridge, it was different. It felt like we were on the same side, going for the client together.”
